400 years of history is a long time! From the time when the exiles return to Jerusalem and rebuild the walls of the city to the advent of Christ in the New Testament we have 400 years of Biblical silence. This series looks at what happened in those years and how they shape the time into which Jesus comes and how that impacts our faith today.
In part 3 we look at Daniel chapter 11 and how he prophesied about the events that would take place in the second century BC. The Kings of the North and the Kings of the South try to out do each other at every point for control of the other’s territory. Behind it all Rome is building in strength to come onto the stage as the most powerful empire that ever existed. The scene is being set for the society and culture into which Jesus will come to bring the good news of the kingdom of God.
